This planting site was once a gravel quarry with mining activities finishing in 1966. It is located within the upper-urban area of Warners Bay and Charlestown. This site has been rehabilitated with some rare and endangered trees to accommodate the diverse range of fauna species which inhabit the surrounding Lake Macquarie nature reserves.
